Am I the husband that you sought (or merely a sot)?
sometimes not.
I say we've played this stage on-again, off-again--like the theatre greats!
Despite our characters labeled "exeunt,"
in sequel we return, in glittering costumes, our avatars reside
proving that through fallow, grit, and rot
(so ordinary, temporary, and less often than lots,
what marriage doesn't have its share of knots?)
we evolve and we revolve and we resolve,
draw conclusions, worship illusions,
because true evolutions
require the mightiest of revolutions
& to this day how I still love
the fiery passion of our resolutions.
Poet blue
& phantom gunshoe--
writing is a license to create friction with the truth
and so is speaking too,
words are like magick spells that way,
in ringing the tones of our truths,
we create the secret fiction,
with a prediliction for delusion,
for every relationship is a fusion
of being together, we are con-fusion
and the pro-fusion of the word
is our apotheosis, our grand macabre.
Absurd, you say?
Sometimes yes,
sometimes knot.

*note: We live our lives as if our SERIOUSNESS makes what we do and say become the pinnacle of TRUTH. Au contraire, my friends, the more we buy into our truth, the more the universe laughs at us. No matter how radical your honesty, the skeptic's knife is held against your throat. And in writing the stories of your life, I say don't get so caught up in your illusion of the real, the permanent. But remember, this is the essence of DRAMA: to speak seriously what is NOT true, but COULD be true--generealizable lessons are gleaned from it. And by all means, convey your truth, your brutal truths! And I emphatically encourge YOU: ADD YOUR COMMENT to this thread, and make a little merry of your tragedies, play on our assumptions of you, mix a little uncertainty into your truths for good measure. This makes a wonderous catharsis of fiction.
Balderdash is the stuff of LIFE. Have you ever played this board game? Briefly, to explain the game's concept, you concoct a true-sounding definition (which is most-often false) to very obscure words and all the players definitions are read together, with the correct definition thrown in too. Players take turns guessing which is the correct definition, or bluffing to convince others to guess theirs, and points are awarded if (a) you do in fact choose the right defininition or (b) others choose your definition.
Life is a grand GAME.
Happy playing,

"Every individual is at once the beneficiary and the victim of the linguistic tradition into which he has been born--the beneficiary inasmuch as language gives access to the accumulated records of other people's experience, the victim in so far as it confirms him in the belief that reduced awareness is the only awareness and as it bedevils his sense of reality, so that he is all too apt to take his concepts for data, his words for actual things." --Aldous Huxley

I wrote @ length regarding (I know today I,m a Johnnie one note today) mere Aristotelian maneur.
Mesc Huxley's comments were said better in "Four Elements For the Elimination of Television" by Mander though Huxly didn't live to see his soma distiled into matter would have less specific evidence as to the particurlarly virulant areas any mind kontrol joint Foisted on the unwashed masses. It makes the prescientience astonishing. Was he an INFJ?
