Here's the supporting cast in this fantasia. Clara has a crush on Barton. Venus and Barton are at odds with one another. To make matters more complicated, Barton has the hots for Dirk Devenpeck.

Clara: Dirk's best friend and confidant, a sweet but shy girl from a good home and happy family. She was adopted, but she doesn't know that yet. Dirk Devenpeck is her real brother and she doesn't know that either! There's a lot for Clara to discover on this adventure about love, family, and friendships. Scrupulous, soft-spoken, pale, and poignant, Clara Bancroft is an important ally for all. She's even been known to transform into a panda bear on the right occasion. Clara is a mage born under the EARTH cycle.

Venus: Clara's outspoken and wild best friend. Venus always amps the energy and brings fun and freedom to the scene. A fashionable, glitzy, dark-hued beauty, the luscious Venus is always toting a new boyfriend about. And though she knows Clara pines for bumbling Barton, she constantly tries to fix her up with one of her newest catches from the ocean of boys at Rokowon. Venus is extremely sensitive to energies from the afterlife and is a trained prophetess and 'spirit swallower:' an ancient knack that allows the mage to consume ethereal energies and channel them into their magickal matrix.
